I've walked this insomnia walk.  Had countless sleepless nights that stretched well over 2 decades of agony.  And now I'm at the other end.  I now sleep medication free and have natural restful, peaceful nights.
After 25 years of chronic wake-up insomnia, I am now able to offer valuable insights, tools and techniques to you about how I conquered and changed my negative sleep habits.
What inspired me to make changes to my sleeping habits?  I figure I'll live till I'm 95 (or there about), and I simply did not want to continue to be dependent on medication to help me sleep.

March 1, 2006, I literally woke up one morning and realized I needed to resolve and change these miserable sleep habits once and for all.  After about 25 years of sleep challenges, takiing different kinds of sleep medications and aids, it was time to make some dramatic changes.  I had had enough! I'd retired from my primary business.  All those stresses were non-existent, yet I still slept very poorly.  There had to be another way!  I wanted to get back on track ~ to change my sleep habits to what God and nature intended for us humans to do ~ that is to sleep naturally.  Humans were intended to sleep about 1/3 of our lives ~ naturally, without anxiety, stress, and  worrying about it or taking taking drugs to make it happen.

How did it all begin?

In hindsight, it was no doubt the pressures, routines and results of my business life that initiated the onset of this insomnia.  Sleep habits are like many other habits - once they are established and entrenched it can be a challenge to make changes.  Stress in our daily lives, often gets carried to bed with us.  Stress can play havoc with our noctural rest.  But the strange part about stress, is that even when the stressful event is long past, your body/mind and particularly your sleep routine, is still acting and reacting as if that particular stress is still there.  A negative sleep habit has developed.

The good news is that you can change these negative habits and turn your sleep habits around.  You can sleep soundly and peacefully ~ without medication.  My desire to sleep naturally began my quest to find different resources, tools and techniques that I could implement to change my less-than-perfect sleep habits and eliminate the insomnia.
